What is a domain?
A domain is an Internet address, such as yourwebpagehere.com.

How do I get a domain?
When you order, check the box for us to register the domain name for you. We will charge you $15 per year for the domain name (.com, .net, or .org). It would be a good idea to make sure the domain name you want is available.
Also, domains can be obtained from Network Solutions.

How do I transfer a domain to your server?
After signing up for one of our accounts, you need to change the nameserver information for your domain. This information is changed at the web site where you registered your domain name (for instance, NetworkSolutions.com). The following four lines contain the nameserver information you need to use.
ns.yourwebpagehere.com    64.87.8.251
ns2.yourwebpagehere.com    209.182.62.236
ns3.yourwebpagehere.com    209.78.31.146
ns4.yourwebpagehere.com    64.87.7.181

How do I upload my files?
We suggest you upload your files via FTP (File Transfer Protocol). Download an FTP client such as CuteFTP and login to your domain with your username and password. Place your files in the /www directory.

How do I set up email accounts?
Go to http://www.helpbot.com and login with your username and the password you received when your account was activated. Do not type "www." in front of your domain name. Now you can use this control panel to add email accounts, aliases, mailing lists, etc.

How do I check my email?
In your email program, use your username and use the password for your email account. Use mail.yourdomain.com as your POP/email server. We recommend using Outlook Express which comes with Internet Explorer.

perl    /usr/local/bin/perl
date    /bin/date

How long does it take to transfer a domain?
The length of time before you see your account show up with your domain name depends on how often your ISP's DNS servers are updated. Generally this process takes from 12 to 48 hours.

What file extensions should I use for CGI scripts?
We recommend using .cgi for your CGI scripts.

Why do I get a forbidden error when trying to access my CGI scripts through a web browser?
Your permissions are not set correctly on the CGI file. In FTP, change the CHMOD of your CGI file to 755. Changing this will allow the CGI script to be executed.

Why do I get "500 Internal Server Error?"
Either the file permissions are not set correctly (see the solution for the question above) or there is an error in your CGI file.

How do I use Server Side Includes (SSI)?
First, your file name must end with .shtml instead of .html.
To include another file in your .shtml page, use the following line in your code.
<!--#include file="file.html"-->

To execute a CGI script from your .shtml page, use the following line in your code.
<!--#exec cgi="cgi-bin/file.cgi"-->

Upload your .rm file(s) in the realaudio folder on your site.
Create a file with the same name as your .rm file except with a .ram extension. Put this single line in this file:
pnm://yourwebpagehere.com/rafiles/your-username/filename.rm
Change your-username to correspond with your account's username and change filename.rm to correspond with the .rm file you placed in the realaudio folder. Upload this .ram file to your webpage and put a link on your webpage to this file.
